Evaluation process
Evaluation stages
The evaluation of an institution involves several stages: preparation, visit and post-evaluation stages.
The process is as follows:
- submission of applications
- examination of applications
- expert committee preparatory meeting
- on-site visit of the expert committee in the institution
- post-evaluation meeting
- validation of the report by the AERES
- dispatch of the report to institutions for their comments
- publication of the evaluation report together with the institution’s comments on the AERES website
Documents to be supplied by the evaluated institution:
- Self-evaluation report
- Four-year contract under way
- Declaration of strategic objectives
- Institution’s organisation chart
- Financial accounts of the last four contractual years (approved by the Board of Administrators)
- External reviews conducted following the institution’s initiative (strategic steering committee, visiting committee)
