For students and professionals: "how do you choose a master's degree?” is the question asked by Le Monde ETUDIANT in its recently published special issue "Le guide des masters & MBA" ("Guide to master's and MBA degrees"). In response, the guide notably makes use of the subspecialties of master's degrees rated A and A+ by the AERES, region by region. Since its creation in 2007, the agency has thus evaluated all master's degrees offered by French universities (on a scale of C to A/A+) on the basis of:

  • methods implemented in pursuit of established objectives;
  • the quality of pedagogical teams;
  • research-based teaching;
  • integration of graduates into the job market.

This is an evaluation mentioned by Jean-François Dhainaut, Chairman of the AERES, in an interview where he also highlighted that "the improvement in university education is significant".
